Applications for Spring semester 2026 (January 26 – May 22) are available below. The priority application deadline is Monday, November 10.
Please select the appropriate application for your child(ren)’s age. Print, complete, pay the application processing fee, and submit entire application with processing fee receipt:

General Information
Applications are available on our website 2-3 weeks prior to the priority application deadline listed on our Calendar. You are able to apply for a current semester, or the next upcoming semester during the registration period, but we do not accept applications for future semesters. There is a $30 application processing fee (per child) for UWM students; the fee is $50 (per child) for non-students.
The best opportunity to enroll your child/ren for the semester you want is to apply by the Priority Application Deadline listed on our Center calendar, although we accept applications after that deadline on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you want specific information about what times/days are available, you will need to submit an application, as we cannot offer any hours without an application to process. You may contact the Center’s Enrollment Manager for more information to see if there is a waiting list for a particular age group.
We typically do have some families on a waiting list, and the list changes each semester. Our waiting list varies greatly depending on the age of the child, the hours/days requested, and the parent’s university status.
How to Apply
All families are eligible to apply
The Children’s Learning Center is a university-based center and the center prioritizes UWM affiliated families.
- UWM Student: Student status is determined by enrollment in a degree-granting or certification program and at least 3 graded credits for Fall semester for undergraduates and 2 graded credits for graduate programs, and payment of the segregated fees.
- UWM Faculty/Staff: UWM Faculty/Staff status is determined by at least one parent is employed by UWM.
- UWM Alumni: Alumni status is determined by at least one parent being a graduate of UWM.
- Community Member: For families with none of the above affiliations to UWM.

Pay the application processing fee
For continuing families (those enrolled in the current semester), the $10 application processing fee is added to your monthly bill. You do not need to go to the Office of Student Accounts.
For new families who are UWM students, there is a $30.00 application processing fee (per child).
For non-students (faculty, staff, alumni, community members), the processing fee is $50.00 (per child).
The processing fee is payable at the UWM Office of Student Accounts located in Mellencamp Hall, Room 110, just east of the Union; check the Student Financial Services website for hours. The Office of Student Accounts accepts cash or check for the application processing fee – no credit/debit cards. (See last page of the application – Application Processing Fee Form.) Applications will not be processed without payment of processing fee.
