Career & Internship Fairs for Employers

The Career Planning and Resource Centers hosts several career and job fairs each year that provide you with the opportunity to recruit talented and career-ready UWM students and alumni for part-time, full-time, and internship positions. Our fairs will support your recruiting efforts and increase your organization’s visibility on-campus.

2021 Career and Internship Fairs

Fall Part-Time Job & Internship Fair - September 22, 2021 (In-Person)

UWM Career Planning & Resource Center is EXCITED to welcome you back to campus for the Fall 2021 Part-Time Job and Internship Fair being held IN PERSON! The event will take place on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, from 11:00am-2:00pm in the Ballroom located on the first floor of the Student Union!

UW-Milwaukee’s Fall Part-Time Job and Internship fair offers employers an opportunity to recruit student talent for part-time jobs and internships. This fair is a great way to build your talent pipeline by engaging with students early in their academic career. Students have a variety of experiences to offer, including study abroad, student organization leadership, and service learning.

Don’t miss your chance to meet with students and alumni who are searching for on-campus positions, part-time job opportunities, and internships.

We are happy to welcome you back to campus for in person recruiting. Please be advised that as we continue to navigate the COVID19 pandemic that capacity for the job fair is limited, and extra employer representatives will not be able to attend. Each company may only have two representatives in attendance. Thank you for understanding!

Registration Fees
Pricing for employers is $200 if you are a for-profit company or $150 if you work for a non-profit company. The fee includes a recruiting table for 2 employer reps, 1 parking pass and wireless internet access.

Information Information:
All fees MUST BE PAID BEFORE OR ON THE DAY OF THE FAIR, September 22, 2021. Payment received prior to the fair guarantees booth placement for your organization.

Career fair no shows will still be billed and organizations with outstanding invoices will not be able to attend the fair

Outstanding invoices from no shows will be sent to collections after Friday, October 1st.

Late Registration and Cancellations:

  • There will be a late fee of $50 assessed for registering after Tuesday, August 31st.
  • Cancellations received before 5:00 pm on Tuesday, August 31st WILL BE refunded..
  • Cancellations received after Tuesday, August 31st after 5:00 pm WILL NOT BE refunded.

Actuarial Science Career Fair - September 28, 2021 (Virtual)

UW-Milwaukee’s Actuarial Science Virtual Career Fair will offer employers an opportunity to recruit student talent majoring in mathematics, data science, economics, accounting, data analytics, business, and actuarial science. Students from the actuarial science programs at UW-Stout, UW-Green Bay, UW-Eau Claire and UW-Stevens Point are also invited to attend. Don’t miss your chance to meet with students who are searching for internship and employment opportunities!

Registration Fees
Standard/For Profit employer and Non-profit employer costs are $150.00

The deadline to register is Thursday, September 23, 2021 by 5 pm or if capacity is reached before the deadline date

All Fees Include
Individual sessions with students, 3 group sessions with up to 50 students per session, technology support and management, and complete access and usage of the virtual fair platform host, Handshake.

Information Information:
All fees MUST BE PAID BEFORE OR ON THE DAY OF THE FAIR, SEPTEMBER 28, 2021. Payment received prior to the fair guarantees the opportunity to schedule individual sessions with students.

Refund Policy:

  • Cancellations received before 5:00 pm on 9/17/2021 will receive a refund.
  • Cancellations received after 5:00 pm on 9/17/2021 will NOT receive a refund.
  • ALL cancellations must to be submitted via email to Ashely Hale, hale2@uwm.edu.
  • Employers that do not participate on the day of the event (no show) will NOT receive a Refund..

Nonprofit and Government Career Fair - October 5, 2021 (In-Person)

The UWM Career Planning & Resource Center is excited to welcome you back to campus IN PERSON for the Nonprofit and Government Career Fair! The event will take place on Thursday, October 7, 2021 from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM in the Ballroom located on the first floor of the Student Union!

Additional Career Fair Information:

Marketing Package Add-On: Virtual & In-Person Fairs
Marketing Package ($35)

  • Your organization’s logo will be displayed on the Career Planning and Resource Center’s website for at least a month
  • One announcement about your organization on the Career Planning and Resource Center’s social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram)

Payment in full is required before marketing is displayed on the website and distributed via email and social media. Full month display of logo is contingent upon registration date.

In-Person Fair Add-On
      • Priority placement of table/display at career fair ($100)
      • Extra recruiter attendance ($50 which includes 2 representatives, lunch, and one parking pass) – Temporarily unavailable 
      • Electrical outlet access ($10)
      • Flat screen TV for PC Hook-up ($250)
Parking at UWM
You will be provided with one reserved parking pass per two representatives to park in the UWM Student Union.  Please follow these instructions to use your Pass Card:

      1. Enter the garage from E. Kenwood Blvd
      2. The entry to the driveway has two lanes, use the left lane only. NOTE: Ignore the FULL sign if lot is full, a space has been reserved for you
      3. Stop at the Pass Card reader
      4. Swipe the striped portion of the Pass Card completely through the card reader slot with the stripe facing the red arrows
      5. Be sure to swipe the entire card without stopping
      6. When the gate arm rises, enter and park in any available space on either level
      7. Upon exiting, repeat step 4. If card is designated as ‘Entrance Only’ then remit your Pass Card to the cashier and pay the determined amount.
      8. The Pass Card is valid only on the date noted on the card and WILL NOT work on any other date.

If you need to park more than one vehicle and only have one pass, these parking options may be available to you. View the UWM campus map.
