ISB Phenology Commission 2017 Annual Report

ISB and the Phenology Commission were major sponsors of the Phenology 2015 conference that took place in Kusadasi, Turkey from 5-8 October 2015, with over 80 attendees, (2015 Conference Website).

A fourth international phenology conference, Phenology 2018, has been scheduled for 23-27 September 2018 in Melbourne, Australia, also sponsored by ISB and the Phenology Commission. The Phenology Commission plans to continue sponsoring an international phenology conference every three years, in the year following the ICB (i.e., 2021, 2024, etc.).

Commission members in the USA continue to work closely with the USA National Phenology Network (USA-NPN).

Commission members are exploring with the WMO Commission for Agricultural Meteorology (CAgM) the concept of advancing phenological observations and cooperation among networks globally through development of a Global Alliance of Phenological Observation Networks (GAPON).
