- Registration is now open for the 24th International Congress of Biometeorology! Abstracts are being accepted through January 2026 with early bird rates available until 25 May. Biometeorology: Addressing 21st century global climate issues and perspectives of living beings and places. Scheduled for 13 – 16 July 2026, ICB24 will take place at the University of Novi Sad in Serbia. Please share with colleagues. We look forward to seeing you in Novi Sad! - 2026 Tromp Award: Due 15 February 2026. The International Society of Biometeorology presents the Tromp Scientific Award to a scientist who has developed the most meaningful peer-reviewed manuscript over the past three years prior to each International Congress. The Tromp Scientific Award is sponsored by the Dutch Foundation for Biometeorological Research and awarded by the International Society of Biometeorology. Three total awards will be given in 2026.
- Funding. International Society of Biometeorology provides support for its members to attend Conferences and Workshops that meet the Society’s purpose, promotes the Society, and provides a benefit to ISB and to the applicant(s). The International Society of Biometeorology (ISB) provides an international forum for the promotion of interdisciplinary collaboration between meteorologists, health professionals, biologists, climatologists, ecologists and other scientists.
The Society, as a community of scientists with similar interests, fulfills an important role in providing information, expertise and advice to international organizations requesting this assistance. ISB as a Non-Governmental Organization is a member of ICSU and maintains close liaison with UN agencies such as WMO, WHO, FAO, UNESCO, UNEP and other International organizations.
