Program Outcomes
The UW-Milwaukee Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) program has been accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Science (NAACLS) since 1987. Upon graduation, graduates are eligible to sit for the national certification exam offered by the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC). Granting of the degree from the MLS program is not contingent on passing an external certification exam. Our mission is to produce professional Medical Laboratory Scientists that are uniquely prepared for the dynamic environment of healthcare and are recognized by employers as being of the highest quality. The information below demonstrates the commitment to the mission of the MLS program.
