Panoramic views in the heart of Milwaukee’s historic East Side
Milwaukee’s historic East Side goes modern with the newly renovated Jan Serr Studio, an industrial meets modern events space located on the top floor of UWM’s Kenilworth Square East building. Floor-to-ceiling windows and a private penthouse balcony offer unbeatable ambiance and panoramic views stretching all the way from Lake Michigan to Milwaukee’s Downtown Skyline.
Jan Serr Studio’s modern industrial interior pays homage to the building’s origins as a Ford Motor Company plant. Renovated into a spacious, airy studio marked by expansive views, we also offer our first floor gallery as the primary entrance to greet guests with the same style and charisma characteristic of Milwaukee’s vibrant East Side.
The Jan Serr Studio has partnered with Saz’s Hospitality Group to provide you with experienced event-planning support. Whether it be a corporate retreat or a festive celebration, they have you covered. At the Jan Serr Studio, you can customize every detail of your event, or lean on the expertise of our team to make it happen.
Open Venue Tours
Looking to tour our space and imagine your event at Jan Serr Studio? Our stunning views won’t disappoint. Come to our open venue tours, happening on select dates throughout the year from 5-7 p.m. No appointment needed; learn more below.
All of our food is made in Saz’s Catering’s state-of-the-art kitchen. Peruse their wedding menu or connect with your event designer for corporate, social and gala, or fundraising events. With complete customization available, your menu options can truly mirror the atmosphere and personality of your event.
The Jan Serr Studio is owned by UW-Milwaukee’s Peck School of the Arts, so a portion of every rental fee goes directly into educational and learning space upgrades for their students.
The flexibility of both the gallery and studio spaces easily transform so that guests won’t need to travel from one event to the next, which cuts back on fuel emissions. And our floor-to-ceiling windows allow plenty of sunlight during the daytime so you can leave the lights off.
Hardware, grocery and drug stores are all only blocks away to meet every last minute need. And photographers will delight in the short travel distance to many of Milwaukee’s historic landmarks, including Lake Michigan, North Point Water Tower, Villa Terrace Decorative Art Museum, Lake Park, North Point Lighthouse, McKinley Park and Marina, as well as Veterans Park.
