How do you contribute to UWM's goals?   
My research and record of publication demonstrate a genuine commitment to working with children and families from high-risk, disenfranchised segments of the population. My mission is to understand more about trauma and to create trauma sensitive/informed systems of care. I received million dollars in grants from federal and state governments as well as foundations to support my work.

What would you like people to know about you?   
I was born and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota. I am working on having more balance in my life. I meditate daily. I love, love, love coffee. Recently, I have learned to sew. I absolutely love being creative.
