Black Feminist Symposium

Are you interested in learning more about Black feminism, including its history and impact on today’s world?

The Women’s Resource Center is excited to announce the Black Feminist Symposium: Risk, Resistance, and Resilience coming to campus on SaturdayFebruary 23, 2019.

The goals of the Black Feminist Symposium are to:

  1. Discuss Black feminism and related theories.
  2. Provide a supportive and intellectually stimulating environment where students, faculty and community members can collaborate and share ideas between their work, research and Black Feminism.
  3. Explore creative collaborations that have a foundation in Black feminist practice, such as community organizing.  
 
We welcome folks of all identities, cultures, and abilities to attend this special one-day event.
