Black Political Mobilization in Milwaukee

Maya Neal is a Milwaukee Organizer and Political Manager for Leaders Igniting Transformation, an organization led by young Black and Brown people. Her passions include organizing with other youth of color, strategizing to build power, and centering Black women and femmes in political movements. First advocating for education as a high school senior, Maya has since organized and advocated for reproductive justice, Black liberation, women’s equality, immigrant rights, and student power. She is the Chair of the Milwaukee chapter of BYP100 and volunteers with the Milwaukee Freedom Fund.
