It strengthens UWM’s strategic framework while also providing a clearer roadmap toward the chancellor’s strategic directions. All commitments incorporate UWM’s broader efforts toward inclusive excellence and fostering a culture of care within our Panther community. 

Commitment Sponsors

Sponsors have been named to lead efforts for each of the four new areas. They’ll collaborate with faculty and staff with expertise in these subject areas, though formal work group rosters will not be created. Commitment sponsors will work with stakeholders to develop appropriate strategies and metrics to track progress toward each goal. In keeping with UWM’s overall efforts toward inclusive excellence, each goal is expected to have at least one strategy explicitly tied to those efforts. 

The executive sponsors and 2030 co-leads will continue to coordinate efforts across the four commitments. The four commitments and their sponsors are:
