Women’s & Gender Studies in the College of Letters & Science prepares undergraduate students for careers in nonprofit organizations, business, the creative arts, education, government and public policy, journalism, law, medicine, publishing, science, the social sciences, social work, and many other fields. Students who major or minor in Women’s and Gender Studies are equipped for graduate study in many fields, including the social sciences, humanities, and professions. They may combine their interest in Women’s & Gender Studies with many of the certificate programs offered at UWM or with another departmental major.
