Campus Welcome Center
We assist visitors and the community by sharing information and giving tours of the campus and nearby neighborhoods (with the exception of prospective students, who are served by Admissions).
From first impressions to lifelong relationships, we strengthen UWM’s ties to the community through several outreach programs. Learn more about Neighborhood Relations.
We coordinate and host events with a campus-wide impact, such as the annual June Board of Regents Meeting, UWM Day at the State Fair, ground-breaking ceremonies, building dedications, news conferences, all-campus receptions, events involving visiting dignitaries, and any events involving the chancellor. We also handle the Length of Service event each spring, when the university honors and celebrates faculty and staff who have reached significant mileposts in their careers at UWM. In addition, we offer consultation and support to schools, colleges and departments planning their own events.
We process requests for public records maintained at UWM, except for patient health records.
We provide communications support to the Office of the Chancellor, Vice Chancellor for University Relations and Communications, and other executive areas of the university as assigned. We can share information on past, present and future campus and community appearances by the chancellor.
