Summary:
Special Assignment on the Volunteer Nursing Association and Meals on Wheels program. An unidentified woman (maybe chief nurse) is describing a new hospital program to help deliver two meals a day, five days a week, to elderly and disabled patients that are living in their homes. Meals will be prepared at participating hospitals. It is being started with fifteen volunteers. Some are members of the Women’s Auxiliary Corps who will deliver one hot and one cold meal daily, help people eat, and socialize with them.
