Milwaukee downtown redevelopment plan A-Roll, Part 1

Summary:

Documentary footage on the Milwaukee downtown redevelopment plan from the autumn of 1973. This segment includes an interview with an unidentified man (perhaps a city planner or commissioner) discussing two areas of the proposed development — a self-contained residential area in downtown and a multi-use urban center located west of the river and north of Wisconsin Avenue — and he notes the reasons and economics behind the multi-use area. Footage also features helicopter aerials of the proposed area proposed for redevelopment, clips of 2D and 3D architectural models, and shots of street-level traffic and pedestrian activity and retail stores downtown like Heinmann’s Department Store. Some footage is silent.

This is one reel of two; also see SR377.
