Application procedures vary according to your end goal. Procedures are different for the MA, the Graduate Certificate, and continuing education (non-degree) programs. Requirements also vary for US applicants and International applicants. Please see below for specific information.

Translation Qualifying Exam

Applicants to the MA or Graduate Certificate programs must pass a qualifying exam to be considered for admission; the exam requirement can be waived for professional translators enrolling in continuing education courses.
