Interpersonal process groups are a powerful form of therapy to help facilitate growth and change. Groups consist of 5-9 students who meet weekly to share their concerns, receive feedback/ support, and provide feedback to other group members in a safe and confidential environment. For more information contact Lynn Mucha LCSW at mucha@uwm.edu.
Topic-based groups bring students together who are going through or have gone through similar experiences and share common ground. Sharing a common experience related to identity, trauma, transition, etc. helps members focus on a more specific life area/concern and provides students with peer support and understanding. Topic groups are facilitated by a SHAW Counseling Services provider.
