The Diversity Center welcomes and supports UWM at Waukesha students. It offers tutoring, academic programs and resources that are available to all students. The center also provides a quiet study room with computers.
We encourage diversity by promoting academic success while creating opportunities to understand and appreciate people from all backgrounds. By collaborating and partnering with student organizations, campus departments and the community, we provide educational and social experiences that foster an inclusive and welcoming campus environment.
Due to our work with youth in the community, all visitors and staff in the Diversity and Pre College Center are required to wear a mask per UW System policies.
Panther Talk was created to tackle topics in an honest, mediated setting. All topics seek to further awareness and understanding of the different experiences members of our community and others go through.
Lunch Meet is a monthly event where students can meet faculty, staff and community members. Come and hear about their personal and professional experiences at the campus and the community. Come with questions – this a great event!
Courageous Conversations is an opportunity for students, faculty, staff and community members to meet new people while discussing various topics that focus on diversity. Join us for a stimulating discussion.
The Pre College Program works with students in the Waukesha school district in grades 6-12 to provide both academic and social support to help students succeed. We prepare our students for the future by working on skills that will help them excel, assist in determining goals, and explore possible college and career options.
