Project Assistantship

  • Open to MS and PhD students and applicants.
  • Recipients assist faculty in their research and assist the USP office in event planning.
  • Appointments are appointed at 50% levels, including tuition remission and health insurance.
  • Appointments are renewable up to total of 2 years for MS students and 3 years for PhD students
  • Urban Studies Deadline: January 5th

Teaching Assistantship

  • Open to PhD students and applicants.
  • Recipients participate in pedagogy brown bags sponsored by USP, among other responsibilities to USP.
  • Other responsibilities include staffing the USP booth at the UWM Open House in October.
  • Appointments are available at the 50% level, including tuition remission and health insurance.
  • Appointments are renewable up to total of 2 years for M.S. students and 3 years for PhD students.
  • Urban Studies Deadline: January 5th

Economic Development Fellows

  • Open to people who have participated in the Peace Corps, Americorps, or Public Allies.
  • Contact Lisa Heuler Williams (heuler@uwm.edu) and make sure that USP knows that you will be applying for an Economic Development Fellow.
  • Deadline for Fall Admission: February 15th
