The 2023 Student Research Forum keynote speaker is Claire Dunning, assistant professor of public policy and history at the University of Maryland, College Park, and author of Nonprofit Neighborhoods: An Urban History of Inequality and the American State (University of Chicago Press, 2022).

In addition to the keynote presentation, the afternoon’s event includes:

  • a juried poster session for undergraduate and graduate students over a buffet lunch,
  • a panel discussion on community collaborations and conducting urban research by members of the Cherry Street Community Garden project,
  • a documentary screening by racial justice community project grant awardee and USP MS student, Nateya Taylor, an awards ceremony, and
  • a reception following the keynote presentation.
