Microsoft Power Automate is a cloud-based service within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem that enables users to create automated workflows between applications and services, helping streamline repetitive tasks and improve productivity. As part of the Microsoft 365 suite licensed by the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee (UWM), Power Automate integrates seamlessly with widely used tools such as Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams. This allows faculty, staff, and students to automate processes like approvals, notifications, data collection, and file synchronization without requiring advanced programming knowledge. By leveraging prebuilt templates and connectors, UWM users can enhance collaboration, reduce manual workload, and ensure more efficient business and academic operations while staying within the secure and compliant Microsoft 365 environment.
