UWM IT will upgrade all university owned computers currently running macOS 14 Sonoma (or older versions of macOS) on Friday, May 23 at 7 am.
Information on the Upgrade
You can install the macOS 15 Sequoia upgrade at your convenience prior to May 23. On May 23 at 7 am, computers will automatically upgrade to macOS 15 Sequoia. Mac computers must upgrade to ensure security. For more information about new features with this upgrade, please visit Apple’s macOS Sequoia website.
Please Note
- The upgrade process usually takes about 45 minutes – 1 hour to complete.
- The upgrade should not result in any loss of data. However, we recommend backing up important documents to OneDrive prior to starting the upgrade.
- We have made every effort to ensure full compatibility with all standard UWM Mac software. If you have any concerns about software compatibility, please contact the UWM Help Desk.
