Premium ArcGIS Online Content
There are six premium content packages included in UW-Milwaukee’s ArcGIS Online subscription. These include:

  • Geocoding,
  • Network Analysis,
  • Spatial Analysis,
  • GeoEnrichment,
  • Demographics, and
  • Elevation Analysis.

Premium ArcGIS content consumes a large amount of credits but is quite reasonable when working with small data sets. We recommend that if you are doing heavy processing with lots of data, do so offline with ArcGIS Desktop and then upload your content to ArcGIS Online.

How to get this Software


To download ArcGIS Pro,

  1. Log into ArcGIS Online.
  2. Select the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee option when prompted.
  3. Login using your UWM credentials.
  4. Click on your name in the upper right corner to view options and select My settings.
  5. Choose Licenses on the left side.
  6. Scroll down and find the link to download next to ArcGIS Pro.
  7. Click Download.

How do I renew my license? 

The only way to renew SPSS is to repurchase it from the SoftwareShop before your license expires. Each license term starts in August of the current year and ends in August of the next year. Licenses are valid through the end of the current license period regardless of the purchase date.

Software Overview

When is my license valid? 

The license term for SAS Educational and Administrative Volume license period are from July 31st through August 1st of the following calendar year. Licenses are valid through the end of the current license period regardless of the purchase date.

Will SAS install on Windows 8/8.1 computer/laptop?

Yes, you should be able to. It has been tested and successfully installed on a Windows 8.1 machine.

How do I install SAS on Windows OS 64bit?
  1. Find the application in your software center.
  2. Double-click that application.
  3. If Windows asks you if you want to allow the program to make changes, select Yes.
  4. Select the language you wish to use for the installation process (English is the default) and click OK.
  5. The SAS Deployment Wizard may take several minutes to load, and does not show a progress bar.
  6. On the Select Deployment Task window, select Install SAS Software.
  7. On the Specify SAS Home window, keep the default installation directory.
  8. On the Select Deployment Type window, select Install SAS Foundation and Related Software.
  9. On the Select Products to Install window, select all available options.
  10. On the Specify SAS Installation Data window, find the location of your current license file. This should be in the default location.
  11. On the Select Language Support window, choose which languages you wish to be supported. By default, all languages will be installed.
    • We recommend that you first click the Clear All button, which deselects all languages except English. You may then add back any additional languages.
  12. On the Select Regional Settings window, make sure the Language (Region) [Local] is set to English.
  13. On the Default Product for SAS File Types window, select SAS Foundation.
  14. On the Checking System window, click Next.
  15. On the Deployment Summary window, click Start.
  16. The installation process can take several hours. After all of the installations have completed, click Next.
  17. If asked to send information back to SAS, select Do Not Send.
  18. On the Additional Resource window, click Finish.
How do I renew my license?

The only way to renew SAS is to repurchase it from the SoftwareShop before the license expires. If you plan to renew an older version of SAS, please make a note of it in the customer note box.
