| Candidate Name | Position Sought | Why are you running for this position? |
| Audrey Barton | Women’s Advocacy Senator | I’m running to be the Women’s Advocacy Senator because I care deeply about creating a campus environment where all women feel supported, represented, and empowered. Through my work in student government, research, and campus involvement, I’ve seen how important it is for students to have advocates who listen intentionally and take meaningful action. I want to use this role to elevate women’s voices, address barriers to safety and wellbeing, and strengthen the sense of belonging across UWM. If elected, I hope to collaborate with student organizations, campus leaders, and advocacy groups to expand resources, improve communication, and ensure women’s needs are centered in policy decisions. My goal is to help build a more inclusive, equitable campus where every woman feels seen, valued, and able to thrive. |
| Benjamin Young | College of Engineering and Applied Sciences Senator | I am running again to try to prioritize students of CEAS quality of life and learning while still making all students lives better as a whole. |
| C.J. Hagan | Undecided Major Advocacy Senator | |
| James Toberman | Vice President of Student Affairs | I want to make a difference on our campus. I think there is a disconnection between students who don’t understand the power they have to make a difference and change. I believe it is the Student Government’s job to empower students and help them make changes they wish to see. As for my specific goals: As Vice President of Student Affairs, I will directly work with our CASE offices and Multicultural Centers to help make UW-Milwaukee a better place for all, inclusive of all identities and backgrounds, because diversity is our strength. Collaborate with UW-Milwaukee admin to directly share issues our students are facing. I pledge to have office hours in various public locations on campus every week to ensure my visibility for students to approach me whenever. Work to raise our student wages so student works don’t need 1 or 2 extra jobs just to afford rent. Affordability for students is also a BIG issue, which we can start to tackle with more transparency around fees and costs. Increase in visibility for other free/low-cost services for students More transparency about what UWM is doing and what UWM Student Government is doing, we work for you! |
| Kyle Armstrong | College of Arts and Architecture Senator | “I’m running to continue helping College of the Arts & Architecture (CAA) students shape their experience at UWM to be the best it can be. This year as CAA senator, I began the process of establishing new lines of communication between students and the dean as well as between students and PSOA and SARUP administration. If reelected, I hope to build on that progress so all CAA student voices are heard.” |
| Levi Valentine | Vice President of Academic Affairs | “I am running for Vice President of Academic affairs to address the significant shifts we have seen in our majors and programs on campus. I believe that a flight from Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion has resulted in the downsizing, or erasure, of certain majors and education pathways such as Women’s and Gender Studies; various world language pathways; the reduction in our Ethnic Studies department, and much more. Further, over many years now, we have seen the presence and effectual power of our student governance radically decrease. I believe we need to challenge the systems on campus which disenfranchise students from their voices. It is time that the students regained their full seat at the table; we cannot be confined to “advisory to the Chancellor” based roles if we want to impart lasting change. I am seeking to address the avalanche of concerns housed under D.E.I., from financial inequality and consequential exclusion, to the systematic exclusion of marginalized voices in major decisions. In this election, I am calling on all students to stand with me and regain their seat at the table. A vote for me is a vote for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.” |
| Sierra Lee | President | I’m running for Student Association President because I believe and feel that every student deserves to feel supported, safe, seen and heard on this campus. I am deeply committed to advocacy and community, I’ve seen where our systems fall short and am capable of and ready to push for real solutions. From protecting our multicultural and identity-based centers, to strengthening campus safety, increasing tuition transparency, and prioritizing mental health resources, my goal is to make this campus work for all of us. I am about action, accountability, and making sure your voice leads the change. Bold leadership. Real results. Period. |
| Blaise Beesch | At-Large Senator | I’m running for At-Large Senator to continue working to help improve the student organization experience, particularly around grant requests, by advocating for clearer communication channels and more transparent processes. If re-elected, I will continue focusing on practical, solution-driven improvements that make it easier for students and organizations to access resources, understand systems, and succeed. Additionally, I’ve been working to strengthen student advocacy and improve how students navigate their academic experience at UWM. My work has focused on supporting students through academic processes, conflict resolution, and helping them overcome challenges with greater clarity and confidence. |
