Browser Update Information

How to update your browser:

Chrome:

Chrome can be set to automatically update itself.  If auto-update is turned off, do the following to update to the latest version:

1. With Chrome open, click “Chrome” in the upper left-hand corner of the menu bar.
2. Choose “About Google Chrome” from the dropdown menu.
3. A new window will open up and begin to update to the latest Chrome version.
4. Quit Chrome, then restart Chrome.
If there are problems, or you want to reinstall a fresh copy of Chrome, go to: www.google.com/chrome

Firefox:

By default, Firefox is set to automatically update itself but you can always do a manual update:

1. With Firefox open, click “Firefox” in the upper left-hand corner of the menu bar.
2. Choose “About Firefox” from the dropdown menu.
3. A new window will open and Firefox will begin checking for updates.
4. When the updates are ready to be installed, click the “Restart” button in that window to update.
If there are problems, or you want to reinstall a fresh copy of Firefox, go to: www.mozilla.org

Safari (For Apple Users):

1. Click the apple in the upper left-hand corner of the menu bar.
2. Choose “Software Update” from the dropdown menu.
3. Click “Show Details” in the Software Update dialog box.
4. If you do not see any Safari items, then your browser should be up to date. If there are Safari items, uncheck all boxes except for the “Safari” items.
5. Click “Install” and follow the onscreen instructions.
