
The Helen Bader School of Social Welfare has received a grant from the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction that focuses on increasing diversity and mental/behavioral health competencies in school social workers.
The DPI grant supports Master of Social Work students in the school social work track with a stipend beginning in Fall 2024.
Scholarship Information
- School Social Work and Trauma – SSWaT
- $2,500 per semester of field placement
Program Requirements
- Must maintain MSW student status and a GPA of 3.0 or better.
- Includes a field placement in a school social work setting.
- Must include some trauma informed care classes.
Who Should Apply
- Any MSW student admitted to the program who meets the program eligibility and requirements.
- Students from underrepresented and/or low-income communities, and students who speak a second language are encouraged to apply.
When to Apply
- Student should apply as early as possible once admitted to the MSW or non-degree program.
- Application deadline: Friday, Sept. 15, 2024
