Virtual Open House – Helen Bader Office of Applied Gerontology

You’re invited to attend the Helen Bader Office of Applied Gerontology Fall 2025 Virtual Open House. This two-part online event features information on the office’s programs and scholarships, as well as a special presentation about the Age-Friendly Milwaukee County Initiative.

Learn about:

  • How the Age-Friendly Milwaukee County Initiative is making the community happier and healthier for residents of all ages, but especially older adults. 
  • What undergraduate and graduate academic programs the Office of Applied Gerontology offers to engage students in gerontology education.  
  • What undergraduate and graduate scholarship opportunities are available to support students’ gerontology education and work with older adults.
  • How to get involved with the Student Gerontology Association at UWM, which is on a mission to increase students’ knowledge of aging.
