Gerald H. Schwager III is a doctoral student in the Social Work Department at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He is currently a Teaching Assistant in the Helen Bader School of Social Welfare and was a Performance and Quality Improvement Specialist Intern with Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan.
Gerald's research interests focus on understanding how social, structural, and policy factors influence health and well-being across the lifespan. Gerald is particularly interested in gerontology and the health and well-being of family caregivers, as well as reducing health disparities experienced by marginalized populations, particularly in the LGBTQ+ community.
