Deidre Marsh, MSW, LCSW

Deidre Marsh joined the teaching faculty in the Social Work Department of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2025 and teaches graduate level courses with an emphasis on clinical practice and trauma. She has also served as an adjunct lecturer for the university since 2021.

As a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), she brings together a range of expertise from her work developing, implementing, and leading a PTSD Recovery Program using Cognitive Processing Therapy and Prolonged Exposure Therapy across two hospital campuses; providing group and individual therapy for a mental health Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP); supervising a suicide hotline; and working as a psychiatric inpatient social worker. She also partners with researchers to provide training and consultation in Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD for clinicians within the criminal justice system.

Outside of UWM, Deidre is a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies (ISTSS), and the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT), where she serves as Treasurer for the Research in Clinical Practice Special Interest Group since 2022.
