Amos Malone

Amos Malone is pursuing his PhD in social welfare at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He is the middle child of nine siblings and proud to call Milwaukee his hometown. With roots on the north side of Milwaukee, Amos attended CEO Leadership Academy High School — now known as Dr. Howard Fuller Collegiate Academy, where he established its first alumnus scholarship. He currently serves on the board of directors for Dr. Howard Fuller Collegiate Academy and Our Next Generation, as well as the Dean's Advisory Board for the College of Letters and Science at UW-Whitewater. He is the founder of the 501(c)3, The Malone Foundation, which focuses on reentry and reintegration for formerly incarcerated individuals.

Amos previously worked for the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. He has also worked as a courtroom deputy, case administrator, and probation officer in the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin. Other positions include an appointment to the Fire and Police Commission in the town of Whitewater, a gang specialist position at the Wisconsin Department of Corrections, a liaison position for the Wisconsin Correctional Association, and service on the Wisconsin Supreme Court Special Preliminary Review Panel.

At UW-Whitewater, Amos created the first criminal justice scholarship. He was a member of the Black Student Union and a residential assistant. While earning his second master's degree at UW-Platteville, Amos served as the vice president for the Criminal Justice Honor Society Alpha Phi Sigma.
