Travis Guy

Travis J. Guy is a lecturer in the Department of Criminal Justice & Criminology at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He teaches Introduction to Corrections, Introduction to Criminal Justice, Introduction to Criminal Courts, Criminal Investigations, and Introduction to Policing.

Travis worked for the Milwaukee Police Department for 31 years. He was a police detective for 16 years and worked in the following special units: Armed Robbery Task Force, Homicide Unit, Sensitive Crimes Division, and Internal Affairs Division. Prior to joining the Milwaukee Police Department, he worked for the Department of Corrections as a sergeant and the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Department as a deputy sheriff.

Travis is a military veteran who completed tours in the U.S. Coast Guard and the U.S. Marine Corps.
