Brenna Durand, MS

Brenna Durand is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology. She has worked with Dr. Jane Hereth in the Department of Social Work on her research project with transgender women in Chicago and Milwaukee to create a life history calendar (LHC). The goal of this project is to develop a mental health intervention for transgender women based on their life trajectories.

Brenna has also worked on research projects for Dr. Jeannine Rowe at University of Wisconsin-Whitewater (Department of Social Work), systematic and scoping reviews with Dr. Ai Bo in the Department of Social Work, and research projects for the Accessibility Resource Center (ARC).

Brenna currently works for ARC in student accommodation and research in making aspects of university and academic life more accessible to students with disabilities. She is also on state councils and committees aimed at accessibility and inclusion for Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and DeafBlind individuals.
