Elizabeth Lyne, PhD

Dr. Lyne is a teaching faculty member in the Department of Criminal Justice & Criminology. She has previous professional and research experience as a victim witness advocate and as a research assistant with Near West Side Partners and the Sojourner Family Peace Center. From 2019 to 2021, Dr. Lyne worked as a Court Operations Associate in the civil and family divisions of the Minnesota District Courts. She has also served as a consultant for the State of California in connection with the state’s Racial Justice Act.

Dr. Lyne teaches Introduction to Criminal Courts; Methods of Social Welfare Research; and Drugs, Crime, and Criminal Justice.
