Join us on Wednesday, March 5 from 2 – 3 pm in Vogel Hall for a presentation designed to enhance your understanding and support of UWM’s international student community’s employment and career development goals. The overall goal is to give an overview of the students & their needs, share what we have been doing, and offer resources & suggestions on how you can support their professional journeys or refer students.

Learning goals include:

  1. Gain awareness of the international student population and enrollment trends at UWM.
  2. Understand the foundations of work authorizations available for international students and how you might support them
  3. Gain knowledge about common career-related needs & concerns shared by international students.
  4. Learn about current initiatives led by SET and CIE in collaboration with schools & colleges.
  5. Identify when & how to refer students to SET vs. CIE
