Book Drive for K-8 kids at Hartford Ave School and Lloyd Barbee School

As part of Inauguration Week Festivities for Chancellor Thomas Gibson, UWM is organizing a book drive for Hartford Ave School and Lloyd Barbee School. We hope to collect 300 books as part of this effort, and on Tuesday, September 22 the books will be delivered to both schools where UWM volunteers will have the chance to read a book to kindergarten kids.

Please stop by Boswell Book Company at 2559 N. Downer Ave or Wonderland Bookshop at 4001 N. Downer Ave . You may also drop off a book to the UWM Center for Student Experience and Talent (SET) Union Office (E153) across from the Panther Store.

Want to get your own child involved in this service project? Stop by the SET-Union office and pick up a blank bookmark. Take it home and have your child write a message or draw a picture, and place the bookmark in your book before donating!
