Membership. The subcommittee is composed of the following members:
four Faculty members of the Physical Environment Committee;
one Academic Staff member of the Physical Environment Committee;
one University Staff member of the Physical Environment Committee;
one student member of the Physical Environment Committee;
four ex-officio and non-voting members, as follows:
one representative each from the Division of Students Affairs;
one representative from Transportation Services;
one representative from the Office of External Relations;
one representative from the Department of Campus Planning & Management.
All non-student members will be appointed to two-year staggered terms and will be limited to two consecutive two-year terms unless otherwise approved by the PEC. A member is eligible for appointment again, after two years have elapsed.
Functions. The Transportation Subcommittee is charged with the responsibility for oversight and advising the Physical Environment Committee on matters relating to program planning and on the utilization and maintenance of parking, transit, pedestrian, and other transportation facilities and services at UWM. This responsibility shall include, but not be limited to, advising on policies affecting parking rates, permit fees, transit fares, bus routes and schedules, pedestrian ways and other functions of systems which contribute to the most efficient, economic, and equitable use of UWM transportation facilities and services.
