Guide to the Responsible Care and Use of Laboratory Animals at UWM
All personnel intending to handle vertebrate animals need to contact Animal Care Program to arrange for training prior to handling any animals. A Canvas course will then be assigned which will take the trainee through the steps needed to become certified to work with animals.
The Canvas course provides the resources for the trainee to complete and pass a take-home exam based on the following training manual:
