Laryn O’Donnell, OTD, OTR/L, is a licensed occupational therapist and Ph.D. student studying Health Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She is passionate about occupational therapy and getting individuals back to participating in meaningful activities through the use of assistive technology. Her research areas of concentration includes assistive technology and measurement. As a Ph.D. student, in addition to her research and studies, she is working on two federally funded projects within the Rehabilitation Research Design and Disability Center, mentored undergraduate research fellows, and has taught and guest lectured undergraduate, master, and doctoral level courses related to assistive technology and occupational therapy.

Before coming to UWM, she graduated with a B.S. in Human Development and Family Science from The Ohio State University and received her Doctor of Occupational Therapy from Huntington University. She completed her doctoral capstone on developing an occupation-based specialty within assistive technology and accessible design.
