This training covers Abusive Head Trauma (AHT), a very serious threat to babies and small children. It is sometimes referred to as shaken baby syndrome, and we will be looking at the circumstances that can lead to tragedy and ways to prevent it from happening. As a child care provider, you play an extremely important role in the identification and prevention of Abusive Head Trauma.
Please note: If you are taking Child Care Foundation Training that requires the AHT module, you must complete the training through PDS Online in order for it to count toward licensing requirements.
For those not taking this module for licensing, it is also available here for convenient access at no cost. Once you have completed the module, you will be given a certificate of completion that you can print or save to your computer.
