Biographical Sketch

Professor Gendron teaches and does research in aesthetics, cultural studies, the philosophy of music, and 19th and 20th century Continental philosophy. Recently, he has taught courses on Political Philosophy, Nietszche and Heidegger, Foucault, Aesthetics from Kant to Nietzsche, Contemporary Aesthetics and the End of Art, Miles Davis and Jazz Modernism, and the Aesthetics of Black Music.
