More Tools & Resources
Career Communities and Exploration
UWM’s Center for Student Experience and Talent offers Career Communities and career advising opportunities for both current UWM students and alumni.
Many of SET‘s resources will be valuable to Undecided students, including:
Course Planning and Enrollment
- Utilize this Course Planning Worksheet (PDF) when preparing for the upcoming semester by reviewing graduation and General Education Requirements (GERs). Want to be super-prepared for the upcoming semester? Bring this form to your advising appointment!
- A blank scheduling grid (PDF) can be a helpful tool when planning out specific course options and sections.
- You can use Stellic to make the course registration process easier — Instructions on enrolling in classes or changing your schedule are available from the Registrar’s Office.
- You can also enroll (or make schedule changes) directly through PAWS. Instructions on enrolling in classes or changing your schedule are available from the Registrar’s Office.
Major Exploration Tools and Activities
- Universities of Wisconsin offers a MyMajors assessment — that’s a short quiz on your interests, skills, and background which then produces a top ten list of majors that might be good fits for you. You can limit that list just to majors that UWM offers, or explore majors across the Universities of Wisconsin campuses.
- UWM’s catalog can be filtered to display a list of all of UWM’s majors, which can be searched or filtered by School/College, online availability, and other factors. Majors listed there go to UWM’s catalog pages, detailing degree- and major-specific requirements as well as advising information.
- Our Major Exploration Worksheet (PDF) has a number of ways to explore majors while allowing you to increase your knowledge/awareness of yourself.
- Ten Questions to Ask About Majors (PDF) is a handout we’ve created for UWM’s Exploring Majors Fair, but it can be useful for any major-related discussion!
Academic Self-Assessment
- Are you worried about your GPA or status at UWM? Use this self-assessment tool (PDF) to review your academic performance at UWM and prepare for future semesters.
