Outage Description
Network Operations is planning an upcoming infrastructure upgrade involving the Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems located in GML WB19. This work is critical to maintaining the reliability and resiliency of core campus network services. With two UPS systems, there will be two cutover dates, in which staff will offload one UPS from the old system to the new system.
The cutover dates are as follows:
Prep Work: (Moving power cords) May 31st, 6PM to 8PM
1st UPS to be Commissioned: June 2nd, 6PM to 8PM
2nd UPS to be Commissioned: June 5th, 6PM to 8PM
Impact to Users
We do not expect any network disruptions during this work, communications will be sent out upon completion on each date, and we will have staff on standby in case of emergency. This work will also be posted in Outages.
