Network backbone maintenance

On Monday November 10 UITS Network Engineering will be making a series of configuration changes to improve redundancy for network backbone connections. These changes have been tested and are already in production for parts of the network backbone, this maintenance is to align the remaining components with overall improvements. These changes do not affect network access while they occur, and based on testing and work already done there is no expectation of any interruptions or outages. This maintenance notification is informational in case of unforeseen problems.

There should be no effect on any access to any network resources. If there is an unexpected outage, it will affect network access to/from a specific quadrant of campus, depending which segment of the network was being configured when the problem occurs.
