Merrill Hall Network Hardware Refresh

UITS Network Operations will be replacing the existing network switches in Merrill Hall with new hardware.

During this work, devices connected to the network will experience service disruptions when accessing network resources.  These disruptions may not last the entire length of the maintenance window but may repeat during the time frame.  Network access should not be considered reliable while work is in progress.

To minimize end-user impact, work will be done between the hours of 7:00 PM and midnight.

There is no need to turn off computers and printers ahead of time. If there’s a problem connecting to the network after 7:00 AM, the device may need to be rebooted to re-establish its network connection. Printers often need a reboot in these cases. If problems persist, please escalate to the campus Help Desk as normal with the data jack number/MAC address of the affected device.
