Emergency Network Maintenance – SW Quad and Remote Sites

Replacement hardware for the equipment that failed last week has been configured and tested. In order to mitigate ongoing risk Network Engineering staff will be removing the interim solution and putting the replacement into production this evening at 11:00PM localtime. This process should take less than 10 minutes

This work will cause short interruptions of network access to all networks in all buildings in Soutwest Quadrant of Kenwood Campus as well as the remote sites at School of Freshwater Science, Continuing Education Plankington, Zilber School of Public Health, WUWM Chase Tower, and University Services and Research Building. These interruptions are unavoidable under the current cirumstances, but should be short and should not require any further intervention for the majority of devices.
