Outage Description

Urgent maintenance to the infrastructure supporting parts of the Wi-Fi networks at UW-Milwaukee needs to take place before the start of Fall semester to maintain the stability and security of the UWMWiFi service.

A 3-hour maintenance window has been defined for this Friday, August 25, starting at 6:00PM lasting until 9:00PM. This time was chosen to balance access disruption with the ability for all support staff necessary to be available for contingencies. During this window Network Engineering staff will complete physical tasks needed that should prepare legacy wireless controllers for stable connectivity through the start of the semester.
