Possible network outages due to electrical work – August 12, 2025

On Tuesday, August 12 at 6:00AM Facilities is planning on switching electrical loads back to the WE Energies circuit that failed over the weekend. This work is not expected to cause any large-scale network service interruption, but some switches and access points in campus buildings may reboot during the short period when circuits are changed.

Network access for ethernet and Wi-Fi in campus buildings on the east half of UWM’s Kenwood Campus may reboot during electrical work, causing short service interruptions. These short outages should last about 15 minutes if they occur.
