Network Maintenance – 12/27/2024 11:00PM – 11:59PM

In order to maintain the security and stability of the network at UWM urgent maintenance work has been scheduled to take place Friday evening, December 27, 2024 at 11:00PM CST. This work is expected to take less than an hour to complete.

Network engineering is taking this short notice maintenance window to apply critical software updates to network infrastructure. The risk of unplanned outages has been determined to be high enough to make immediate upgrades a high priority.

The upgrade should not result in service outages, as affected devices are redundant. There is always the possibility of unexpected issues that may cause interruptions. Any interruptions that occur may affect any networked devices in any UWM building but should not be widespread.

This work covers all networks, wired and wireless, in all UWM buildings in all physical sites, as well as VPN access.
