Free Store Inventory
The Off-Campus Resource Center Free Store is a welcoming, donation-powered space where UWM students can pick up gently used home essentials at no cost. Think of it as a community swap spot—students can take what they need, donate what they no longer use, or do both.
This page lists our current inventory, which changes often based on donations. You’ll find everything from dishes, small appliances, and décor to school supplies and other everyday items that make student life a little easier.
By using the Free Store, students help reduce waste, save money, and support a campus culture of sustainability and community care. Feel free to check back regularly—new items arrive all the time!

Green Neighbors Initiative
An overarching effort in the Off-Campus Resource Center that brings together several programs aimed at promoting sustainable living and resource sharing among commuter students. Whether you are interested in cleaning up the surrounding neighborhoods through Neighborhood Cleanups, or in reducing waste through reuse efforts in the OCRC Free Store, Panther Swap, and Trash or Treasure, the Green Neighbors Initiative offers meaningful ways to get involved. Taking part in these programs will help to deepen your connection with the community, all while fostering sustainable, environmentally responsible habits that create lasting benefits for you and the UWM campus for years to come.
