Hyperbolic groups, their boundaries and drilling

We will define and describe groups with a particular geometry, hyperbolic groups. We will define the boundary of a hyperbolic group and give many examples. If time permits, we will define a drilling of a hyperbolic group and explore how this operation changes the boundary. Any new work is joint with Groves, Haissinsky, Manning, Osajda and Sisto.
