M³ teams adapt strategies

As MPS, MATC, and UWM transitioned to online learning in spring, strategies to support students and ensure their success also adapted. Enjoy these highlights from the spring:

  • Early in the semester, 600 teachers and faculty of English language arts, math, and science held a professional development forum at MATC’s downtown and Oak Creek campuses.
  • In March, the M-cubed job fair hosted at UWM brought together 75 employers and 800 MPS students to explore and apply for jobs.
  • More than 1,000 9th- and 10th-grade students participated in academic and career planning activities at their individual schools.

The support strategies used by M3 work groups also shifted. Regular virtual meetings kept everyone up to date with institution plans and resources, and coordinated student outreach and support.  Through these efforts, many students received needed technology or engaged with team members to address their concerns.
